IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH YOUTH IN THE CHURCH..
- This year we will be conducting several Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leader training days for new and existing Workshop Leaders around the state. These training days will consist of a Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop from 9am – 12pm, and a training for new and existing Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leaders from 1pm – 4pm. Those who need to just attend a Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop will be able to go to the 9am to 12pm portion. Those coming for the Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leader training will need to attend the whole day from 9am – 4pm. We strongly encourage churches which do not have “on site” Workshop Leaders to have two people attend these, so that you will have your own Leaders.
- The Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leader training days will be mandatory for anyone who was trained as a workshop leader before January 1st 2007. Anyone on the list of Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leaders trained before that date, who does not attend one of these trainings, will no longer be considered trained to conduct Safeguarding God’s Children Workshops.
- As of August 2008, Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leaders will now need to re-certify every four years, plus conduct at least two workshops in that time.

Those registering for the Safeguarding God’s Children Workshop Leader Training Days will also need to have a Letter of Authorization filled out by their priest. That letter is attached and can also be found online at: http://www.coloradodiocese.org/03_faithformation/safechurch.html
